Lighthouse Trip to Wagamamas
The children in the Lighthouse went on a fantastic trip by bus to Wagamamas in Guildford. We found out that Wagamamas means ‘naughty child’ in Japanese, however, we all behaved brilliantly as usual! The team at Wagamamas helped us to choose from a selection of fruit and vegetables to make our own yummy smoothies. Next, we each carefully weighed out our four vegetables. We chose whether we wanted to eat a rice or noodles dish and then watched the chef cook our lunch. The food was delicious! We all enjoyed having a go at using our chopsticks to eat.
Lighthouse Trip to London
The children in the Lighthouse (and our Paddington Bear!) went on an exciting trip to London by train. We had a ride on the London Eye. It went very high up! We were really lucky and had a capsule all to ourselves. It was a beautiful sunny day so we had incredible views. We especially liked spotting Buckingham Palace, St Pauls’ Cathedral and all of the bridges crossing the River Thames. Afterwards, we looked closely at the London Eye and sketched some wonderful drawings of it. Back at school we have been working hard, writing about our visit to London
