Heather Archer

Dear Parents and Carers,

As Chair of Governors, I am delighted to welcome you to Guildford Grove, a school at the heart of our community. At Guildford Grove, the needs of the children are first and foremost, meaning education is tailored to their needs to ensure all pupils achieve their full potential. I am proud of the achievements of this school, not only for nurturing each child on a personal level, but for providing them with an excellent education meaning that the progress children make at this school is among the highest in the area.
We welcome children aged 3 to 11 in the main school and in The Lighthouse, our Specialist Centre for Deaf Children. All children are taught to sign, and if you come to visit, you will see children signing in assemblies and other performances, as well as throughout the day in the classroom.
As school governors, we work with the leadership team to create an inspiring vision and ethos. We hold the school leadership to account and ensure robust systems are in place so that every child achieves all that they are capable of, with the safeguarding, welfare and education of our pupils central to everything we do. Whilst there is a wealth of information on this website, we believe that a visit to the school will display the true warmth of the atmosphere, and show the caring and considerate nature of our whole school community. Please contact the school office for more information on how to book a visit.
Should you need to contact me, you may do so by letter via the school office, or by email addressed to chair@guildfordgrove.surrey.sch.uk

Yours sincerely,
Heather Archer
